4. Sub AS Multani from Ambala a gunner for having served with Maj Gen Satbir has been tasked to raise a youth brigade & spread its wings in Punjab.

A GUIDE LINE QUESTIONS ON WHICH OBJECTIONS CAN BE RAISED TO ELECTION COMMISSION before
 20 Sep 2016.

1. What are the constituents of FJP ( Serving as well as retired) as it sounds from the name FAUJI. How the name has  accepted by the election commission. It is will conveying  a wrong projection to the serving soldiers and involving them by default.Seems to be the interior motive to garner votes of serving soldiers.

2. The ESM Organisations from Punjab which have joined FJP?.

3. Why conference in Chandigarh, Is it to divide  ESM of Punjab and confuse the serving soldiers?.

4. What is the account Number of FJP and the Name of the Bank. How the account is opened without final clearance of No Objection Date i.e 21 Sep 2016.?

5.   A minimum of 100 affidavits are required in support of formation of a Political party from its members.?

6. Who are the core committee members of FJP constitution?.

7. How many affidavit been signed by Punjab ESM ?.

8. Why the President is from Harayana and not from Punjab?.

9. Col Balbir Singh who have ensure success of various Rallies chaired by Maj Gen Satbir and spent from his pocket has been TOTALLY SIDELINED AND ignored.?

9. How many JCO's/OR's of Punjab included in the Constitution.

10.  How Sub A S Mulatni tasked to raise Youth Brigade in Punjab overlooking other JCO's who have gone door to door to motivate ESM to attend Maj Gen Satbir Singh rally at Various districts. have been overlooked. What happened to Sub Maj devidayal and Sub Baldev Singh who conducted Jagroan Rally with maximum ESM attending.

11. Are the members of FJP belong to IESM only and are the signatures Real of fake of each Individual  affidavit ,as nothing was heard how and when FJP registration application was submitted.

THE SAD PART OF THE STORY

1.   It has been experienced by the Veterans who ever opposes Maj Gen Satbir Singh on Whats app  are snubbed by the lady members acting as van Guards and compare them with Animals by stating Animals can prove to be  better and more faithful to the Devta " Maj Gen Satbir"

2.  The veterans as usual regards the Ladies with respect as it is in their blood and training during service but now  time and again being humiliated by the very ladies may be due to KALJUG effect.

2. The president writes to the veterans not to bark in case they question the FJP.

3. Wish FJP all success in Punjab  with such approaches .

4. The Punjab veterans cannot be a mute spectators as desired by FJP Patron and when the veterans  community is likely to be made PAWNS in larger political games with self projection and that too for allegedly extraneous considerations. Thus veterans of Punjab have to wary such nefarious designs and safeguard interest of Unsuspecting veterans .Its become a solemn duty but they are humiliated and compared to Animals faithfulness by the respected ladies.
.
5. It is very clear that veterans of Punjab have been used and thrown by FJP without any office bearers from Punjab included in its constitution.

6. It can be deduced from above that Punjab ESM have been deliberately ignored as they have come to know the Game Plan of FJP to divide votes and collection of Funds being the main motive all of them from outside Punjab.

Amarinder dismisses Sidhu’s front as ‘inconsequential’
Challenges Kejriwal for fight from any constituency
Sangrur, September 9
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh on Friday dismissed the Awaaz-e-Punjab front led by Navjot Singh Sidhu as “too insignificant and too inconsequential” to have any impact on the political scenario in the state.
“Three MLAs don’t make a political party,” he remarked while adding they were themselves not even sure or confident about what they were doing and seeking to do.
Interacting with reporters along the sidelines of the ‘Coffee with Captain’ programme organised here, Amarinder also clarified that neither he nor the Congress party had sent any emissaries to invite Sidhu to join the party.
“I had only said, he was welcome to join the party since he and also Pargat Singh had Congress background as their families were actively involved with the party,” he said, while adding Sidhu should name the people from the Congress who went to meet him on his behalf.
The PPCC president said, the Congress did not face any challenge from anyone and the party would comfortably form the government in the state.
He said the Akalis were finished while AAP had already imploded.
Amarinder strongly defended his stand against any outsider seeking to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.
“That is why I have challenged Kejriwal that I will fight against him from any constituency he chooses to contest from in Punjab,” he said, while adding, “I am clear about it that Punjab is for Punjabis only”. — PTISidhu attacks on all fronts
Targets Badals, Kejriwal and Capt, but relatively soft on BJP

Chandigarh, September 8
Amidst bashing of mainstream parties, cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, suspended Akali MLA Pargat Singh and Independent MLAs Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains today formally launched Awaaz-e-Punjab, for now a non-political forum, for the “resurrection of debt-ridden and economically weakened” Punjab.
At a press conference here, the four leaders spewed venom against the Badals (SAD), Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) and Capt Amarinder Singh (Congress) but were relatively soft on the BJP.  They promised to be harbingers of change in Punjab politics. On whether they were in talks to form a political alliance,  they said: “Some right-thinking Punjabis are in touch with us and we will make an announcement after a fortnight. By then, we would have worked out how to go about giving a political shape to the front.”
(Follow The Tribune on Facebook; and Twitter @thetribunechd)
Sidhu claimed that he had resigned as Rajya Sabha MP of the BJP as he was asked to campaign for the Badals. “My conscience did not allow me to campaign for Dhritrashtra (Parkash Singh Badal) and Duryodhan (Sukhbir Badal). I was then asked to keep away from Punjab. This was unacceptable and I resigned,” said Sidhu.
Training his guns on AAP, he said: “Kejriwal’s man (Durgesh Pathak) approached me. I was surprised to see the aam aadmi Kejriwal surrounded by khaas aadmi.
Diktats are issued in that party by one person and all others have to toe the line.Telling me I could not contest the Punjab elections, Kejriwal asked me to campaign for my wife...It surprises me that three men from outside the state are lording over three crore Punjabis. We cannot have a non-Punjabi as the CM face. He (Kejriwal) behaves as if he has a copyright on honesty and overlooks other honest, deserving and more accomplished people,” Sidhu alleged, denying he had sought he be announced AAP's CM-candidate.
He said the Punjabis had already seen the five-year Amarinder Singh rule as well as SAD's “danda-tantra” (rule by the stick). “All mainstream parties use clean, educated people as decoration pieces. As a result, voters have little choice but to vote for the lesser evil... The powers that be in Punjab may get fake cases registered against... Today every business in Punjab has been cartelised. Hun kaale badal (referring to the Badals) chhatne chahide ne (It's time that the dark clouds over Punjab are dispersed),” Sidhu said.
Describing the Congress and the SAD as two sides of the same coin, he alleged: "In public, they roar at each other and behind the scenes, they are one. Captain gave a clean chit to Majithia on the drug issue and fielded a weak candidate against him in the last elections.”
Pargat Singh lashed out at the SAD leadership, alleging "any rising star in the party is crushed so that none poses a challenge to the Badals." The Bains brothers hit out at the SAD for “misrule” and “poor governance.”

Didn’t expect Sidhu to go against us: Sanjay

Ludhiana, September 8
Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh today rejected the allegation by Navjot Singh Sidhu that he was offered to be a decorative piece in AAP and not promised any seat.
“Sidhu had himself said that since it is the policy of AAP that no two persons from a family can contest elections, his wife should be given the ticket. I vividly remember his words ‘I am not so selfish to contest from my wife’s seat’,” he said.
Singh said he was shocked that all his political career Sidhu spoke against Akalis, but during his conference, he took on AAP. “It is unfortunate that AAP is fighting against the Badals and Sidhu turned against AAP,” he said.
“We don’t know why there is a change of mind as he had himself said that it was the order of Mahadev (Lord Shiva) that he would fight along with AAP against corruption to save Punjab. In this fight of dharma and adharma, he would be with AAP,” he said.
“Forming new fronts will only benefit the Badals. We will still welcome him if he wants to join us,” he said.
On accusations that Punjab was being ruled by people from Delhi, he said they were just here as workers. He said all 32 candidates declared so far were Punjabis. “During the Delhi elections, AAP leaders from Punjab had gone to campaign for AAP and the results are in front of you. Similarly, I and Durgesh Pathak just workers of the party here to help the party in the elections,” he said.

Labelling former colleague Navjot Singh Sidhu a “mirror image” of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP today maintained that the cricketer-turned-politician finally “exposed” his “burning ambition” of becoming the Chief Minister of Punjab.
BJP leader Sidharth Nath Singh rubbished speculations about any connection between the BJP and the Sidhu-led newbie. He, in turn, attacked Sidhu for his diatribe against the party that gave him “recognition” and “opportunities to serve the people”.
“He exposed himself when he said in his press conference today that Kejriwal wanted him to join AAP but without contesting the elections,” the BJP leader said.
“Sidhu is like Kejriwal in more than one ways. Kejriwal used Gandhian Anna Hazare as a ladder to fulfil his ambition of becoming the CM of Delhi and Sidhu used the BJP, which gave him reckoning and importance, to fulfil his political ambitions.
“If all he wanted to do was to serve the people of Punjab, he should have joined AAP. As he himself revealed, he met Kejriwal and rejected his offer of joining AAP without contesting the elections, it proves his ultimate aim was to become the Punjab CM and not serve its people,” he alleged.

AAP has no future in Punjab: Chhotepur

Tribune News Service
Ropar, September 8
Former AAP state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur today alleged that AAP had no future in the state. Addressing his supporters during his “Parivartan Yatra” here, he reiterated that he would not go back to AAP even if his supporters wanted him to.
Chhotepur remained non-committal over his joining Navjot Singh Sidhu’s newly launched Awaz-e-Punjab. “I will decide the future course of action after my statewide tour that will conclude on September 16,” he said.
Chhotepur alleged AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal had no respect for Punjab leaders and trusted only Durgesh Pathak, who was far junior to a large number of leaders in the state unit. He alleged that Kejriwal was an opportunist and had no moral values.
Earlier, he formed government in Delhi with his archrival Congress and now he had joined hands with former Congress leader Jagmeet Brar, he said.
Chhotepur claimed that Brar had approached him to get into AAP and that time Kejriwal had denied him the party membership.
When asked whether he was in touch with Awaz-e-Punjab leaders, Chhotepur said he and Pargat Singh had a casual conversation recently, but it had nothing to do with his joining their front.

In Bathinda, Congress puts up united face

Bathinda, September 8

Punjab Congress leaders today put up a united front at the party’s second Kisan Chetna dharna here today.
Capt Amarinder Singh and Partap Singh Bajwa, who were locked in a bitter fight over the control of the PPCC a few months ago, not only shared the stage, but also showed bonhomie.
Addressing the gathering, Amarinder declared that he would contest against AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal from any constituency of the latter’s choice in the upcoming state Assembly elections.
“The main agenda of AAP is to loot Punjab. You have seen how they have allegedly collected crores of rupees on false promises of allocation of party ticket to gullible aspirants. Now even more serious charges of sexual abuse have surfaced against AAP leaders. Will you vote for such a party?” Amarinder questioned.
Chairperson of the party’s campaign committee Ambika Soni claimed that the SAD-BJP alliance was on its way out and people should be wary of AAP.
Punjab Congress in-charge Asha Kumari said only the Congress could watch the interests of all sections of society. “The SAD-BJP alliance has only patronised the transport, sand and drug mafia,” she said.

Chhina flays Sidhu, calls him directionless

Tribune News Service
Amritsar, September 8
Former vice-president and member of the state executive of the Bhartiya Janata Party, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, today lashed out at former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, calling him an opportunistic and directionless leader.
Chhina said not long ago he was calling the BJP as his ‘mother’. He said “Today Sidhu is nothing but a son, who left his mother in a lurch.”
Chhina, who had been an arch rival of Sidhu, said the way former cricketer had spoken against the party was not unexpected. He said Sidhu was an over-ambitious and self-possessive person, who had failed as a political leader.
“Sidhu must tell what good he has done for the public,” said Chhina adding that as an MP he failed to represent the constituency properly in the Parliament.
“Name at least one project he has brought for the constituency. What has he done for Punjab. He is doing just one thing in the BJP and that is to create divisions and harm the party’s interests,” Chhina said while adding that, “Sidhu believes in hit and run policy to fulfil his personal desires and egos. Sidhu is a dejected and rejected leader, who cannot think beyond his personal gratification.”

Kejri’s Punjab outing: Big bungalow, rich host, ‘aam aadmi’ leaders in SUVs

NOTHING ORDINARY ‘Secure house’ for man trying to set his house in order

From page 01 JHANDE (LUDHIANA): This is no ordinary Punjab village. Situated on the LudhianaFerozepur road, it has palatial houses and a private college that boasts of foreign students. KNS Kang, who heads the PCTE group of institutes, claims it ranks second among all private business schools in return on investment and ninth when even IIMs and IITs are counted. The “return on investment” has helped Kang build a palatial bungalow in the village. It has a swimming pool and acres of greens. Kang plays host to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal during his four-day Punjab outing, as he sets his party’s “house in order”.Students from Kang’s hospitality college — one of the four institutes he runs in Ludhiana — are catering to the AAP’s army of leaders and volunteers. The only glimpse of the luxurious inside of this house surrounded by imposing walls is offered when its huge gates open for letting in the SUVs of “aam aadmi” candidates. “The place was chosen for security reasons,” a party volunteer whispers.
You can’t miss the “VIP air” around the candidates. Talwandi Sabo contender Baljinder Kaur — also AAP women’s wing president — breezes through the police cordon in a swanky SUV.
The village falls in the Dakha assembly constituency of high-profile candidate HS Phoolka, who also arrives late at the venue where Kejriwal is meeting all 32 candidates announced, so far, most of whom face growing dissent.
Two farmers from Dakha’s Chhajjawal village who came to meet Phoolka send in a letter through a volunteer. For them, the recent controversies against the AAP are just “plants” by the rival parties. “Our village gave Phoolka a lead of 997 votes in his 2014 Lok Sabha contest from Ludhiana. He helped us move the Punjab and Haryana high court against an Akali sarpanch, Swaran Singh, who had dug 24-foot-deep illegal sand pits. Now he (Phoolka) will get 1,500 of the village’s 1,600 votes,” said a farmer. Both are Ravidassia Dalits and claim that the party speaks for their rights. Dakha has an Akali MLA, Manpreet Ayali.
The presence of thousands of supporters at the Ludhiana railway station to greet Kejriwal as he arrived from Delhi showed that he still strikes a chord in Punjab. A motorcade including cars to SUVs followed him to Jhande village. Is he an outsider? Not to Punjabis!

People who backstabbed own party can’t be loyal to state: Badal on Sidhu’s forum

CHIEF MINISTER TELLS KEJRIWAL TO TEACH MORALITY TO AAP LEADERS, ASKS CAPT WHAT HE DID FOR FARMERS WHEN HE HAD POWER
SAS NAGAR: Describing the fourth front formed by cricketer-turnedpolitician Navjot Singh Sidhu as “a bunch of fugitives and defectors”, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said here on Thursday that “the people who backstabbed their party can never be loyal to the state”.“These (fourth front) people have neither vision for the state nor any commitment to it,” he told the media on the sidelines of a state-level function to hand over appointment letters to 4,500 teachers. Reacting to Sidhu’s
statement against the state government, the CM reminded him that he had been an MP (from Amritsar) in the same ruling alliance and his wife a legislator. “Why didn’t he raise these issues then?”
Sidhu’s forum would make no impact, he said. “When elections come, many fronts mushroom but only those parties survive that have a glorious history and a legacy of serving people.”Asked to comment on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Badal said that it was a party of scandals and a leadership trying to hide its failures. “Its internal tug-of-war will tear it to pieces soon.” About AAP convener’s threatening to put his family in jail after coming to power in Punjab, the CM said: “Arvind Kejriwal should know that jail is not a new place for me. It’s where I spent about two decades to safeguard the state’s interests.” ‘AAP TOOK POLITICS TO ITS LOWEST EBB’
After another function — the swearing-in of new information commissioners and Punjab Public Service Commission members in Chandigarh — he said the Kejriwal party had taken politics to its lowest ebb by the conduct of its MLAs and workers. “Kejriwal,” he said, “should apologise to women for the indecent behaviour of his colleagues.”
On Kejriwal’s plan to buy a house in Punjab, Badal took a jibe at his Delhi counterpart, saying: “It is immaterial whether he settles here or in Delhi. First of all, he should put his own house (the AAP) in order and teach some morality to the members of his party.” ‘CAPT GIMMICK’
Attacking Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh for protesting outside the deputy commissioner’s office in Bathinda on farmers’ issues, Badal said he was fond of playing to the galleries, and this was another of “his gimmicks to woo farmers”. “What did he do for them as chief minister from 2002 to 2007? Discontinue free power... just to satisfy his ego!”
In almost a decade on the other hand, the Akali-BJP government paid `5,000 crore subsidy every year to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) for free electricity to the farm sector, said Badal. “And we gave them interest-free loan up to `50,000.” ‘TRANSFERS WASTE TEACHERS’ TIME’
Addressing 4,500 newly appointed teachers at Mandi Bhawan in SAS Nagar, he regretted that transfers and postings wasted a lot of their time and energy. “If they seek transfer because of some pressing family circumstances, it could be considered but teachers shouldn’t make it a practice,” he said.

Punjab’s only Sainik School a picture of neglect

BUILDING CRUMBLING AS GOVT HAS FAILED TO RELEASE ITS SHARE OF GRANT FOR PAST 2 YEARS
KAPURTHALA: Punjab’s only Sainik School in Kapurthala is in a state of neglect. Courtesy: Government apathy.
Though the Union government had been releasing grant for the school, the state government has failed to issue its share, thus, the school authorities have been forced to return the central share for the past two years. The state has given only `1 crore to the school in the past three years.
The prestigious educational institute had also not received scholarship funds for 2014-15 and 2015-16 sessions.“The school raised a demand of `3.5 crore for the current session from the state government, but as of now we have not received a single penny,” Sainik School principal Capt Shakti Sharma said.
Not the academic loss, the shortage of funds is also affecting the maintenance of the school building — 100-year old Jagjit Palace —which has developed cracks. Some of old doors and pillars have already collapsed.
The public works department (PWD) has prepared an estimate of `12 crore for the restoration of the palatial school building.
During a recent visit to the school, deputy commissioner Jaskiran Singh declared the school library unsafe and asked for its closure. When contacted, director, public instructions, Punjab, Balbir Singh Dhol said: “I will look into the release of grants on priority.”

Pargat, Chhotepur meet Dr Gandhi

SACKED AAP STATE CONVENER INVITES SUSPENDED PARTY MP TO ‘PARALLEL RALLY’ TODAY, JOINING HANDS WITH SIDHU AN OPTION
PATIALA: Suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party, local MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi dropped hints of joining hands with Navjot Singh Sidhu’s fourth front on Friday.
To get him into the fourth front, suspended Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Jalandhar Cantonment legislator Pargat Singh had a closed-door meeting with him at his house here. “I won’t allow AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal to befool the people of Punjab,” Dr Gandhi said afterwards. Later, sacked Punjab AAP convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur also met him.
The second MP suspended from the AAP, Harinder Singh Khalsa, was not invited to the talks, as he isn’t keen to join an outfit that doesn’t have a formal shape, though he is open to joining hands with anyone against Kerjriwal and the Akalis. Pargat Singh drove to Patiala for the two-hour meeting with Dr Gandhi. The Patiala MP had reservations over the style of functioning of former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, but he was “open to any give-and-take with whoever agrees with my vision paper”“We had a good chat and resolved many issues,” said Dr Gandhi. “I gave him (Pargat) my vision document and assured him that I was open to floating a regional party to take on the Akalis, the Congress, and the AAP. Punjab needs a regional outfit, as the Shiromani Akali Dal has failed to protect the state’s interests, while the AAP is coming to loot the state. It’s now for the Awaaz-e-Punjab to respond.”
After Pargat Singh left and Chhotepur dropped in, Dr Gandhi and he discussed the plan of action against Kejriwal and the AAP’s Delhi leadership. The idea of forming a new party by joining hands with Sidhu figured in that chat. Chhotepur invited Dr Gandhi to a parallel rally to Arvind Kejriwal’s campaign in Patiala on Saturday.
Kejriwal’s rally will be in late evening, while Chhotepur will address the AAP rebel volunteers in the afternoon.

Pargat, Chhotepur woo Gandhi

Patiala, September 9

In the rapidly changing political scene in the state, Dr Dharamvira Gandhi, suspended AAP leader and MP from Patiala, was today wooed by Awaaz-e-Punjab forum’s senior leader Pargat Singh and former AAP convener and party rebel Sucha Singh Chhotepur.
This comes a day after the formal launch of Awaaz-e-Punjab forum. Leaders of the forum have started hectic political activity to align with other “like-minded leaders” and convince them to join the Navjot Singh Sidhu-led front. In line with this, suspended Akali MLA Pargat Singh today held a closed-door meeting with Dr Dharamvira Gandhi. Both had a detailed discussion about “fighting for the real issues affecting Punjab residents”.
Speaking to The Tribune, Pargat Singh said the very reason behind making a forum was to give a platform to all “genuine Punjabis” to come together and get people rid of the Badals and other traditional parties.
“My job is to gather all credible people and I feel that Dr Gandhi is not only learned but has a significant contribution in the development of Punjab. He is very vocal about Punjab’s problems and has been single-handedly fighting for genuine issues. Therefore, it would be a great honour to have him in our forum,” he stated.
Dr Gandhi’s response was positive and they might soon make some announcement in this regard, Pargat claimed. About announcing their political party, he said they would go by consensus. “We will gather all credible people and ask them what to do. If they think we should float our own party and fight against these anti-Punjab forces, we will definitely consider it,” he said.
When asked whether they would approach Chhotepur, Pargat said “why not”. He was not convinced by the way Chhotepur had been implicated and there certainly was a lot more behind it, he stated.
Dr Gandhi too maintained that he was ready to support the forum and the political party they float, if the forum leaders agree to their vision document- “Pro-Punjab Perspective.” He said Pargat Singh had met him and asked him to join hands with the forum for the betterment of Punjab and Punjabis and if they had a minimum understanding on the issues of federalism, democracy and burning issues of Punjab, such as drug problem, agrarian crisis, unemployment and deteriorating health and education, they would meet again shortly and take a final call, the Patiala MP added.

Kejriwal after power, says Chhotepur

  • Former AAP convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Friday lashed out at AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal calling him "power hungry". He also attacked SAD-BJP coalition and the Congress.
  • He kept his options open to have an alliance with the fourth front led by Navjot Singh Sidhu.
  • He made it clear that he would take a decision in this regard only after the culmination of his 'Punjab Parivartan Yatra' on September 16.

SAD MLAs pose more queries than Oppn on development

But their ministers say no to most demands
Jupinderjit Singh

Chandigarh, September 9

Apparently facing questions over development in their constituencies in poll-bound Punjab, Akali MLAs today outnumbered Opposition members in the state Assembly on raising demands of development like bridges, roads and hospitals. But “no” was the reply from their ministers to most of their demands.
Eight of the nine questions on development projects, including demands of construction of roads, bridges, buildings for schools or hospitals, were raised by Akali members in the Question Hour today.
This is the last session before the state goes to the polls for electing the government for the 2017-22 term.
The first among them was Akali MLA from Khadoor Sahib Ravinder Singh Brahmpura. He asked PWD Minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon if there was a proposal to construct a bridge over the Sutlej and Beas near Karmuwal village in Tarn Taran.
As Sekhon had a sore throat, his reply was read by Finance Minister Parminder Dhindsa. He said that in 2013, the Punjab Infrastructure Board had accorded approval to the project, but in a subsequent decision, it issued directions against the project.
The second was Akali MLA from Shutrana, Vaninder Kaur Loomba, who wanted to know if the government had a proposal to construct a bridge over seasonal rivulet Chambo choe.
Agriculture Minister Tota Singh replied that there was no such proposal. He said there was a bridge nearby which people were using.
Loomba said people had to travel a longer distance to use the other bridge. The Agriculture Minister said that many development works were taken up in Shutrana constituency. He said 71 km of link roads were constructed at the cost of Rs 80 crore.
Gobind Singh Longowal, Akali MLA from Dhuri, raised the issue of funds used for disposal of sullage water in the town. Sikander Singh Maluka, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister, said works worth Rs 21 crore had been undertaken. He said 90 per cent of those were completed, but the Akali MLA pointed out several incomplete works from the list provided by the minister. The Opposition benches also pointed out some incomplete works. Maluka insisted the works were complete and if there were any remaining, those would be completed in the three months.

Sidelights
‘Not a good sign’
The poor functioning of the address system marred Friday’s session. The session was postponed for more than an hour as the system did not work while CM Badal was speaking. Former CLP leader Jakhar said, “Badal sahab, things don’t look auspicious for the SAD”
‘Can’t depend on Mobiles’
When former Congress CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal displayed her mobile phone to prove how a halqa incharge was distributing money despite a clear denial by CM Badal in the House earlier, Jakhar made fun of it saying, “Mobiles are not dependable entities. Remember, it was a mobile which landed an AAP MLA in trouble in the alleged sex tapes scandal”
Cong divided on Bains
Congress MLAs were seen divided on the issue of supporting Bains brothers who were forcibly taken out of the House. Despite certain leaders showing interest, there were others in the party, including senior leaders, who signalled them to keep quiet
State not a memorial
Hitting out at the Badals who were patting their own backs for memorials being constructed all over the state, Sunil Jakhar cautioned SAD not to transform the state into a mere memorial
Waste management
“The Aam Aadmi Party is fast becoming the solid-waste management party. All kachra and left over politicians are joining the AAP now,” said Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal when asked about Jagmeet Brar and some other people joining that party
Once bitten, twice shy
The expanse of social media has Sukhbir Badal scared. After addressing mediapersons, on the sidelines of the on-going Vidhan Sabha session, he wanted to discuss the political situation off the record. He repeatedly asked cameramen to stop filming before he spoke. After all, it was during an informal discussion on his plans of bringing amphibious buses that a recording was put online and he was ridiculed and trolled for months over his “paani wali basan”. A case of once bitten, twice shy
