Brig Inder Mohan exposes Gen Satbir motives

When I take on Satbir some of you feel I am wrong and have a personal grudge. Is there any thing left for your imagination. His interest is always above that of the ESM. What are his goals here?

When I take on Satbir some of you feel I am wrong and have a personal grudge. Is there any thing left for your imagination. His interest is always above that of the ESM. What are his goals here?
1. Save his skin by siding surreptitiously with AKALIs - BJP. Haryana govt will go slow in the case against him.
2. Seek ESM votes for his candidates so that they help AKALIs BJP. No one else will in any case vote for ESM.
3. Out of the funds that he gets to split the votes he will give crumbs to the NCOs JCOs and rake in a moolah for himself and those who are assisting him in his mission.
4. He is achieving this because he is exploiting his turban. He won't do it in UP though it has more ESM because there are almost no SIKH ESM there.
5. Sad he is working at the behest of the ruling party in Punjab which we all know has ruined the basic fibre of the society.
6. Let him put up his candidates. All of us should display them in a hall of shame. I will take on this responsibility.
5. Unfortunately a few respected members of the committee will also have to bear the brunt of this misdemeanor of Satbir, unless all have been sold out.

Punjab AAP leaders write to Kejri,
want Chhotepur sacked
CHANDIGARH: Top leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab on Thursday demanded that state unit convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur be “sacked” over media reports of his “accepting bribe”. In a letter addressed to national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, 21 leaders — including MPs Bhagwant Mann and Sadhu Singh, and heads of various wings — have asked the AAP’s political affairs committee (PAC) to immediately replace Chhotepur with an “honest” man. The PAC is meeting on Friday evening.
The AAP has been contemplating action against Chhotepur for taking a packet of cash in a reported video sting operation carried out by a party supporter, though the letter does not expressly mention the video, which was the very starting point of the current crisis in the rookie party.
Chhotepur is likely to be replaced by AAP’s state legal wing chief Himmat Singh Shergill, and may even be expelled from the party, barely six months before the assembly elections are due.
Thursday’s letter — released to the media by AAP — came within hours of Chhotepur announcing that he will hold a press conference on Friday on how “some persons within the party are trying to tarnish my image”.
Reported first by HT, the sting video purportedly shows a person leaving a packet of cash with Chhotepur. Claiming that it was made only to embarrass him and had nothing incriminating, Chhotepur justified his collecting cash, saying it was routine gathering of “party funds” for running day-to-day affairs. However, a top, Delhibased leader of the party had briefed some journalists on Wednesday that the video was made by an AAP supporter, and that it was “incriminating enough” to provide direct evidence of Chhotepur indulging in corruption. Action against him will follow soon, the leader had said. The party, however, refused to make the video public. ChhotepurMeanwhile, hectic parleys marked Thursday for both sides. Chhotepur held a meeting in the morning with some AAP leaders, after which he put up on Facebook and Twitter the announcement about his press conference. Within hours of that, the letter to Kejriwal seeking Chhotepur’s removal was made public. Party sources said the letter was read out to leaders who were not available to sign it and their consent was taken over the phone.
A part of the letter reads: “We are highly upset and disappointed to see media reports in regards to acceptance of bribe by state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur. For past few weeks there had been whispers across Punjab about his conduct and practices but his confession in an interview with Hindustan Times and also to some party leaders demands an immediate action by Political Affairs Committee of Party. The leadership and the volunteers of AAP Punjab urge to sack present convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur without any delay and to replace him with an honest person to take this movement forward.”
Those who “signed” the letter or consented to its contents include senior leader HS Phoolka, Shergill, spokespersons Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Yamini Gomar, youth wing chief Harjot Singh Bains, women wing chief Baljinder Kaur, and Jagtar Singh Sanghera, among others.
In the ongoing internal tussle, Chhotepur expressed objections over the two lists of candidates announced earlier this month, and has been waiting for an appointment to meet Kejriwal. He was absent at both press conferences where the lists, containing 32 names so far out of 117, were revealed.
AAP stands divided over Chhotepur
Party to take call today as state convener threatens to expose leaders
Tribune News Service
Chandigarh, August 25
As 21 members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today sought sacking of party’s state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur for allegedly seeking money from a volunteer, the issue is threatening to cause a major divide in the party.
Chhotepur has got support from several party leaders and has also decided to hit back strongly. He announced today that he would “expose the party’s wrongdoings tomorrow and the conspiracy against him”.
The party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) is likely to meet at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence tomorrow to take a final call on his removal, said sources.
Kejriwal has reportedly refused to meet Chhotepur and asked him to file his clarification before the party's Punjab state committee.
Dr Manjit Singh Randhawa, a member of the Political Review Committee, has come out in support of Chhotepur, calling him an honest politician.
Randhawa has accused Kejriwal of succumbing to the pressure from a coterie in the party and ignoring the ground realities. He alleged that the party was not run on democratic values. Giving an example of the autocratic way of running of the party, he said not a single meeting of the Political Review Committee had been called so far. Randhawa is likely to accompany Chhotepur to the latter’s press conference tomorrow.
A number of AAP leaders confess that the party has suffered a blow due to the controversy. “We were going well in Punjab. Now we are in troubled waters. The way whole episode of Chhotepur is conducted has disappointed the volunteers,” said a leader.
The 21 members, who have written the letter to Kejriwal included Faridkot MP Prof Sadhu Singh, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, HS Phoolka, Himmat Singh Shergill, Sukhpal Khaira, Yamini Gomar, Harjot Singh Bains and Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi.
Outsiders targeted Chhotepur: Capt
Chandigarh: Capt Amarinder Singh on Thursday condemned "dirty tricks" resorted to by AAP leaders from UP and Delhi against the "son of the soil" Sucha Singh Chhotepur, who nurtured the party right from the day of its conception in Punjab. "The sting operation has clearly been planned and executed as part of an internal coup engineered by the AAP leaders from outside who want to control Punjab by using their local stooges and inconsequential wannabe leaders," he alleged. Sanjay Singh decries talk of AAP ‘blacklist’
Chandigarh: Condemning the rumours in a section of media that AAP has made a "blacklist" of some of its senior leaders, the party today termed the reports as baseless. Punjab affairs incharge Sanjay Singh said: "As per the said propaganda, Sukhpal Khaira, Kanwar Sandhu and Jasbir Singh Bir are being sidelined by the party." He said all these leaders were performing their duties at their optimistic level and were assets for the party. TNS
No place for corrupt in party: Bhagwant
Moga: Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann has stated that the corrupt people had no place in the party. He said AAP was founded on the basic principles to root out corruption from the country. "We cannot tolerate anybody who is corrupt or is engaged in corrupt practices in his/her political career,” he said. He said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was shocked to know that Chhotepur was “involved” in corruption as revealed by the sting operation. TNS

Muck all over, Jakhar mocks Swachh Mission
Our Correspondent
Abohar, August 25
Punjab Congress vice-president Sunil Jakhar has said the Swachh Bharat Mission has fallen flat in the state.
CM Parkash Singh Badal had claimed he would arrange a ‘truck load’ of development grants from the Modi government, but not even a rupee had been given to the state, he said.
The state government, the Congress leader said, had released Rs 12 crore to expand water works here, but the BJP-run Municipal Council failed to utilise the money in the prescribed period. “I took up the matter with Badal when he visited rain-ravaged Rajiv Nagar here on September 15, 2014.”
Jakhar quoted other instances of “willful neglect”. Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal had laid another foundation stone for a project in new water works on December 13, 2014, but work had not started. “It appears the SAD-BJP leaders have decided to deprive people of basic amenities. I will raise the issue in the House,” he said.

Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday came to the defence of “old friend” Sucha Singh Chhotepur. Amarinder told HT that he was ready to welcome him into the Congress fold. “I know him for the past 35 years. I may have strong political differences with Chhotepur, but I acknowledge and admire his qualities of honesty and integrity,” Amarinder said. CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday came to the defence of “old friend” Sucha Singh Chhotepur, state convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who is facing the heat of a “sting operation, engineered from within the party”.
As a defiant Chhotepur refused to step down despite threats of being stripped of the post, Amarinder told HT that he was ready to welcome him to Congress fold. Amarinder was reacting to reports that AAP may remove Chhotepur. “I know him for the past 35 years. I may have strong political differences with Chhotepur, but I acknowledge and admire his qualities of honesty and integrity and will not like to keep quiet when he is being made a victim of an internal coup and intrigue. It is disgustingly unfair that when you don’t like a man, you start tarnishing and targeting his unblemished image,” Amarinder said in a statement.
Hitting out at AAP national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, party’s state in-charge Sanjay Singh, senior leaders Durgesh Pathak and Ashish Khetan, Amarinder said leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana were resorting to “dirty tricks” against the son of the soil Chhotepur, who had nourished and nurtured the party from its inception in Punjab. “The sting operation has clearly been conceived, planned and executed as part of an internal coup engineered by the AAP leaders from outside who want to control Punjab through remote by using their local stooges and inconsequential wannabe leaders,” the state Congress chief said.He asked Kejriwal to look into the “monumental transformation” in the lifestyle of leaders, including Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak, since they started their political career in Punjab. “They were all crammed in a single small car and now each one of them has a few luxury SUVs at their disposal. It’s been a phenomenal progress indeed,” he said, adding that the party should explain the massive expenditure running into hundreds of crores it incurred during last two years in Punjab.“Kejriwal has a history of using and throwing away people. He did it with Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, and Yogendra Yadav, and Chhotepur is next,” he said.
